Overview

This certification in accounting is valuable for those individuals who are looking for jobs in the financial sector or other industries that require accounting operations to be taken care of. Persons in such roles use their skills and their specialist knowledge to work independently and be able to judge any activity – both non-routine and routine activities.

The Certificate IV in Accounting offered by Think Academy of Business and Technology gives students the training they need in working in computerized accounting systems. Developing and maintaining a payroll system, generating financial statements and reports, operational computing and budgeting.

Course Entry Requirement

This is an open entry course with no pre-requisite qualifications. In order for you to successfully complete this qualification, it is strongly recommended that students have a strong grasp of computer/technical skills, MYOB installed on their computer, Microsoft Excel installed on their computer, access to a reliable high quality internet connection and literacy/numeracy skills.   Versions of MYOB are available for both Windows-based computers and Mac-based computers, however it is recommended that students have access to a Windows-based computer and Microsoft Excel, making it easier to follow the Windows-based examples and instructions.

Course Duration

Students have 12 months to complete this qualification. This course is a self-paced distance learning training course. We would expect that you will spend at least 14 study hours per week. During this period students shall be reading, conducting research, performing assessments and managing feedback.
